Want to know how to qualify for Delta Propel? Watch the video below, where one of our admissions officers takes you step-by-step on the path to becoming a pilot for Delta Air Lines.

The Delta Propel Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Career Path Program, in partnership with the Academy of Aviation, offers a defined pathway for aspiring pilots to become part of Delta Air Lines.

Participants start by signing up for one of AOA's Career Pilot Programs to obtain the required FAA commercial multi-engine pilot certificate and instrument rating. After completing the program, they gain flight experience by working as AOA flight instructors. Eligible instructors can apply for the Propel program. Those who succeed will receive a Qualified Job Offer (QJO) from Delta.

Once pilots accumulate 1,500 flight hours, they can start working as first officers for Endeavor Air, which is part of Delta Connection. After serving at least 24 months as a captain with Endeavor, they can move on to Delta Air Lines, completing their path from training to becoming a Delta pilot.

A single interview as an Academy of Aviation instructor with Delta allows you to transition seamlessly from AoA to Endeavor and on to Delta. As a trusted Delta training school, we can help you achieve your goal of becoming a Delta pilot.
